My distiller won't start or stops early
The most common cause is scale under the boiling chamber, which makes the thermal switch trip. Try these steps in order:
- Unplug the unit and let it cool completely.
- Descale the boiling chamber with citric acid if you haven't done so for a few weeks.
- Press the reset button on the base.
- Check the fan and air vents for dust.
- Still not working? Contact us with your serial number — the thermal switch, fan motor, gasket and base are available as spare parts.
Care routine

Common questions
How long does a batch take?
About 5.5–6 hours for 4 litres. Many owners run it overnight.
Is it noisy?
The cooling fan runs throughout the cycle, at roughly the level of a desk fan. Placing it in a kitchen corner or utility room, or running it overnight, works well.
Should I use a timer?
Many owners use a plug-in timer set to about 5 hours 40 minutes, so the unit stops shortly before the chamber runs dry. This reduces baked-on scale.
Do I need to install anything?
No. There is no plumbing — fill the chamber with tap water and plug it in.
