Ordering and payment

  • Prices shown for Taiwan include tax and delivery.
  • Payment is by bank transfer. Your order is created with payment pending; we confirm by email once the transfer reaches our account and then dispatch.
  • Please transfer within 3 business days. We contact you if we have not received it; an order unpaid and unanswered after 7 days is cancelled.
  • Please tell us the last five digits of the transferring account and your invoice details (name for an individual; title and Uniform Invoice number for a company). A Taiwan uniform invoice is issued for every order.

Intended use, and uses we exclude

This product is a household drinking-water distiller, intended to distil tap water for drinking and general domestic or office use.

It is not a medical device, not a sterilizer, and not a laboratory water system. The following uses are expressly excluded, and we accept no liability arising from them:

  • Cleaning, disinfecting or sterilizing medical or dental instruments. This unit distils at 100°C at atmospheric pressure. It cannot reach the temperature and pressure sterilization requires and does not kill bacterial spores. Instrument sterilization requires a validated autoclave.
  • Producing sterile water, water for injection, wound-irrigation or contact-lens solution. The water this unit produces is purified water, not sterile water.
  • Any diagnostic, therapeutic or disease-prevention purpose.
  • Distilling any liquid other than water, including petroleum products, isopropyl alcohol and high-concentration alcohol — already prohibited in the user manual.

If you use the distilled water with a CPAP or any other medical-adjacent device, follow that device manufacturer's instructions. We make no recommendation or warranty regarding that device.

We are responsible for defects in the product itself as the law requires. Damage arising from use beyond the intended use above is the user's responsibility and is not covered by warranty.

Warranty

1 year from the date of purchase against defects in manufacture. Consumables (carbon sachets, cleaner, bottles, power cord) and damage caused by failing to descale, by incorrect voltage, by using a plug-in timer, or by disassembly or repair by anyone other than Megahome or a service provider we refer you to are excluded. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Jurisdiction is determined under the Consumer Protection Act and the Code of Civil Procedure.
